While living in Vancouver and being part of the Regent Community, we've gotten a chance to meet and become friends with people from all over the world. Two friends that we've really enjoyed getting to know over the summer and the fall semester are Vincent and Carine from Switzerland. Today we went over to our Swiss friends house to bake some Christmas Cookies! We made several cookies and treats, Vannilekipferl (Vanilla Crescents), Zimtsterne (Cinnamon Stars), Leckerli (means little delicious in German!), some caramels (tastes like carmel but the consistency of shortbread) and some of my Grandma Betty's Peanut Butter Candy!
